The 35th Annual New Mexico Pageant of Bands was held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Wilson Stadium. There were 1,597 students from 25 bands entered and about 3,000 tickets were sold to the public who enjoyed the music and pageantry in almost perfect weather. The event was well publicized and promotions for a music-themed quilt and free student entrance before 10 am resulted in vastly improved attendance for the morning performances.

Bill Troutman – POB Announcer for 25 years Recognized
Bill Troutman has served as the volunteer announcer for the New Mexico Pageant of Bands for 25 years. He began as a parent volunteer when his son was in high school. The Pageant is a volunteer run organization, and we truly have some of the most amazing volunteers in Albuquerque. However, in appreciation for his dedication to the Pageant of Bands as our announcer for 25 years, Bill was formally recognized during the 35th Pageant with the presentation of a card signed by many volunteers and band directors and a plaque stating: “Presented to William G. Troutman In appreciation for 25 years of eloquently and efficiently announcing the New Mexico Pageant of Bands. You may now take the field. October 11, 2014″. Read more.
